You can follow various rules to keep yourself fit. One of the unique and innovative ways to stay fit for the modern generation is the surfing. It is a kind of water sport that is the most popular sport. It is process of riding on the front face of the wave where the wave would carry you to the shore. The sport is very adventurous and you could feel yourself in a thrilling situation. The surfers need to be extremely fit in order to perform this tough task. Your first job is to improve the fitness of your paddle by increasing your energy system. You have to take the cardiovascular system to a high level in order to increase the aerobic and anaerobic energies. You need to develop these energies before going for surfing. The ability of surfing is not acquired within a day and just running beside the beach or a number of daily sit ups won’t help. You have to improve the fitness of your paddle by doing certain exercises. The internal systems should be modified to increase the rotary power with strength. Increasing the core strength is greatly needed for surfing.

Plank and bridge exercises could help you to a great level to improve fitness for the surfing. If you don’t prepare yourself properly before going for a surfing then you would probably feel tired after sometime, so developing the upper part of your body including arms, shoulders and back part of your body is necessary. One should be filled with great strength as you could face certain situations where you to give more emphasis as playing with the waves is not an easy task.

Flexibility is the most important thing that is necessary for the surfers as moving your limbs vigorously would be required at certain steps otherwise you could do an accident. Mobility of the limbs can be achieved by mobility drills. There should be perfect balance between the flexibility and mobility within the surfers. Besides the upper strengths a surfer have to in increase the strength of the lower body.

You have to work out on the knee and hip and both the legs. So to be a surfer you have maintained the fitness of your whole body. If you really want to be a surfer yourself and not just enjoy by watching if from far then you should be confident about your decision to be surfer as your physical strength is not enough to do so but side by side you have to prepare yourself mentally to get in the water and move along with the high waves.
