Keep New Year’s Resolution To Lose Weight – Start Today

Human beings have a remarkable capacity rationalizing procrastination. An annual rationalization pattern for putting off weight loss might proceed as follows:

January – “I’m wait until spring to lose weight when the weather is nicer and I have recovered from holidays.”

April – “I am really busy getting ready for the summer, and besides, when the summer comes the days will be longer and I will have more time to exercise.”

August – “Summer is over, so I no longer need to look good in skimpy clothing. I also have to get kids ready for school, and we are going on a vacation this month, so I will wait until fall.”

November – “I am really busy preparing for holidays and all the relatives, and I can never control my eating over holidays anyway, so I am going to wait until after the New year.”

The next thing you know another year has come and gone and you still haven’t sincerely tried losing weight. Realize that if you don’t want to commit to weight control, it is very easy to come up with thousands excuses. Also realize, however, that if you DO want to commit to weight control, starting can be as easy as putting on your sneakers and going for a casual walk tonight.

Don’t procrastinate. Today is the best time to make a decision to get rid of those 10 pounds.

Make a resolution, adopt healthy living habits and start losing weight now.
