Stress is something that almost everyone deals with in their daily life, some of us aren’t even aware that they are dealing with it. If stress goes untreated it can take quite the toll on your physical and mental well being. tress is a major cause of poor health in our country. In this article we will give you some tips for dealing with stress.


First, what you eat, as with most areas of your life what you eat can effect your stress levels. A healthy diet with a good mix of proteins, whole grains, fruits and vegetables will lower your stress level. If you choose to live on a diet of high calorie, fatty foods your stress level will continue to peak. Make sure you drink plenty of liquids each day, so that your body is hydrated at all times.

Second, exercise, start a good exercise regiment. Preferably choose something you will enjoy so that you stick with it. Try to take part in this exercise at least 3 times a week. It doesn’t have to be strenuous it can be as simple as walking but stick to it. The benefits of exercise will be felt both mentally and physically in a very short time. You will feel your stress melt away.

Third,make a plan, if you make yourself a list of things you need to do, when you complete the list you will have a feeling of accomplishment. Most of us run around all day and feel as though we never finish anything. One of the greatest causes of stress is the feeling we have so much to do and will we get it done. With a list we can see that we have taken care what was necessary for that day.

Fourth, meditation and yoga can be useful to many people for alleviating stress. Just setting the time aside to do this reduces your stress. It is very important to allow yourself the time to unwind and relieve stress. Many doctors say patients have lowered their blood pressure so much by Yoga, they no longer need drugs. Do some researh for yourself and find out what will suit you best.

Lastly, have fun, in our busy life styles today few of us really take the time to have fun. Whatever floats your bubble as they say. Take time to see friends read, go to the movies, just get and visit. Being with people who you care about and they care about you, is a great cure for stress.
